Qualifications
Education

Key Responsibilities
This role supports the Director, Marketing Communications & Partner Marketing and includes responsibility for business to business marketing efforts and for QuickPlay’s direct to consumer brand – PrimeTime2Go. Specific areas of responsibility are as follows:
- Assist with the development, implementation and management of communications programs for QuickPlay’s core audiences including: mobile service providers, TV service providers, media and entertainment companies and end consumers.
- Support QuickPlay partners with the execution of marketing communications programs to achieve service adoption objectives.
- Work with Website Designer and key stakeholders, to ensure that website content fully supports sales efforts across all segments/markets.
- Manage social media presence for QuickPlay and for QuickPlay’s PrimeTime2Go service.
- Support the management of external PR agency and PR strategy.
- Manage QuickPlay’s trade show presence and customer event logistics.
- Manage editorial, design, production and distribution of all QuickPlay sales collateral.
- Conduct analysis of emerging markets for QuickPlay.

Job Summary
QuickPlay Media is seeking a Java developer to create and maintain Web based applications for internal and external administration of our media platforms. The successful applicant will write web applications using modern technologies such as state-full component web frameworks (ie, Java Server Faces or Wicket), Seam, JPA, EJBs and other Java EE facets.

Job Summary
We're looking for a highly motivated individual to develop and maintain test tools and test harnesses for high level API for mobile solutions. The candidate must be able to critically evaluate project requirements and technical constrains in order to design and implement an automated testing solution.

Network Operations Technician (Entry Level)
Job Summary
The Network Operations Center (NOC) provides monitoring and problem resolution coordination for QuickPlay managed services. The NOC Technician will be responsible for operating and monitoring QuickPlay Media’s OpenVideo applications along with responding to alarms and traps from the applications and infrastructure, and coordinating the troubleshooting process.
Qualifications
Education
- Post-secondary diploma in Computer Systems, Systems Administration, or a related discipline.
Skills & Experience
- Basic understanding of: Linux OS, networking, network storage, apache web servers, and network protocols such as DNS, FTP. sFTP, RSS, and HTTP.
- Recent graduate in applicable program as stated above.
- Excellent analytical, communication and documentation skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure; capable of reacting quickly to problems and implementing solutions.
- Flexibility to work evening or night shifts is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Responds to incidents submitted by customers and internal staff. Respond to phone calls placed to the NOC.
- Conducts specific procedures to proactively check the health and welfare of the applications and infrastructure.
- Monitors system and application components and respond to alarms and traps.
- Determines the severity of an incident and depending on the circumstances take immediate action to restore service or escalate as appropriate.
- Requests involvement of the 3rd line engineering staff when required.
- Requests involvement of the customer second and third tier support organization when appropriate.
- Serves as the focal point for status information on the progress of the resolution effort. Set up a bridge for coordination when severity or impact warrants.
- Conveys status information to the customer designated personnel on a designated schedule.
- Gathers the incident history and preserve it for later use. Serves as the focal point for gathering information and submitting any required Root Cause Analysis.
