Tis’ the season for celebrations and there’s nothing like a round of applause for your own team.
As we wind down a fantastic year for Quickplay and our customers, we are energized to celebrate our very own Vice President of Solution Engineering, Balbinder O’Neil at the 2024 Cablefax Most Powerful Women awards ceremony in New York City last night. Bal was named a winner of this year’s Most Powerful Women Awards by Cablefax, recognizing distinguished women leaders who are innovating and inspiring in the media and broadband space—redefining what’s possible in the industry and beyond.
The annual list celebrates the Most Powerful Women for their influence and leadership within the media & entertainment industry —from breaking boundaries and setting new standards, as well as their dedication to empowering other execs to grow and thrive. The list recognizes women across all departments including advertising, communications, corporate culture, sales, content, consultants, distribution, digital, finance, legal, operations and more.
Bal was honored for her significant contributions to the industry, our customers and our team from closing high-value business deals, to promoting diversity in tech, to mentoring women in technology. Her thoughtful and empathetic communication style allows her to articulate complex solutions in a way that clearly resonates with clients and has set her apart, making her an indispensable partner in negotiations as she is the first to develop the relationships with customers.
Here at Quickplay, engineers and project teams frequently turn to Bal for guidance on how to communicate scope changes or other sensitive issues to clients in a transparent and thoughtful manner.
Throughout her career, Bal has been at the forefront of fostering gender diversity, particularly with a focus on recruiting and mentoring women in an industry where+ women remain underrepresented, especially in technical roles. Bal’s experiences navigating a male-dominated field have allowed her to offer insights and advice to empower young professionals to thrive in their careers.
Bal is a true champion of diversity and an advocate for other women in the tech industry and for her community by offering mentorship, sharing her experiences, and leading by example. Bal has leveraged the combination of her technical and interpersonal skills to create lasting impacts within Quickplay, for the health and well-being of her community, and for the tech industry overall. Her dedication to empowering women through mentorship programs, her open communication about balancing work and family, and her role as a visible leader in tech have made her a key advocate for women’s advancement in the industry and in the field of tech overall.
Join us in congratulating Bal and the other honorees for this prestigious honor!
